Furnest Purchase Agreement

This agreement outlines the terms and conditions of your purchase with Furnest, a premium furniture brand based in Okinawa, Japan. By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  1. Payment Terms

1.1 Pre-Order Policy

  • A non-refundable deposit of 30-50% of the total price is required to confirm any pre-order.
  • The remaining balance must be paid in full before delivery or at the time of pick-up.

1.2 Non-Payment Clause

  • If the Buyer fails to pay the remaining balance on the scheduled delivery or pick-up date, the order will be held for up to seven (7) days.
  • If full payment is not made within the seven-day grace period, the order will be canceled, and the deposit retained.
  1. Order Cancellation

2.1 Cancellation Period

  • Cancellations must be requested within 24 hours of purchase to qualify for a full refund.
  • Purchases made in-store must be refunded in-store. The Buyer must notify Furnest within the 24-hour window and visit the store to process the refund.

2.2 Non-Refundable Deposit

  • After the 24-hour cancellation window, the deposit becomes non-refundable.
  1. Delivery & Pick-Up Terms

3.1 Delivery by Furnest

  • Before dispatch, all items undergo a quality inspection to meet our standards.
  • Furnest is not liable for damages occurring after delivery is completed.

3.2 Customer Pick-Up

  • If the Buyer chooses to pick up their order, Furnest assumes no responsibility for damages once the item has been handed over.
  • The Buyer is responsible for ensuring safe transport and handling.

3.3 Third-Party Delivery Services

  • If the Buyer opts for a third-party delivery service, Furnest is not responsible for any damages, delays, or issues caused by the third-party provider.

3.4 Fitting & Accessibility

  • It is the Buyer’s responsibility to ensure that purchased items fit through doorways, hallways, and staircases.
  • If an item does not fit and must be returned, the non-refundable deposit plus a 20% restocking fee will apply.
  • If the Buyer requests Furnest to attempt forced entry (maneuvering the item through tight spaces), a waiver must be signed absolving Furnest of liability for any damages.
  1. Returns & Refunds

4.1 Return Policy

  • Returns are accepted within seven (7) days of delivery or pick-up, provided the item is in its original packaging and condition.
  • A 20% restocking fee will apply to all returns.

4.2 Return Logistics

  • The Buyer is responsible for arranging and covering the cost of returning the product to the Furnest warehouse.

4.3 Replacement Eligibility

  • Replacements will only be provided for manufacturing defects.
  • Replacements do not apply to damages caused by:
  • Misuse, improper handling, or failure to follow care instructions.
  • Stains, mold, or damage from environmental factors.
  1. Warranty Terms

5.1 Warranty Coverage

  • All products include a 12-month structural and hardware manufacturing warranty.
  • The warranty begins on the date of pick-up or delivery.
  • Warranty does not cover:
  • Normal wear and tear, fabric fading, misuse, or environmental damage.
  • Unauthorized repairs, alterations, or modifications.
  • Damage caused by pets, pests, rodents, or insects.

5.2 Warranty Claims & Process

  • Warranty claims require the Buyer to return the defective item to the Furnest warehouse at their own expense.
  • Claims may be subject to a 20% processing fee.
  • Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
  • Due to the handcrafted nature of our pieces, slight variations in texture, edging, or surface are expected and are not considered defects.
  • Claims Process:
  • Submit a Furnest Warranty Claim Form with photos of the issue, your order number, and relevant details.
  • Resolution Options:
  • Depending on availability, we may offer repair, replacement parts, or a full replacement.
  1. Production & Delivery Timeframes

6.1 Production Disclaimer

  • Most items are made-to-order with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Estimated arrival times are provided, but delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances. Furnest is not liable for production or shipping delays.
  1. Liability

7.1 Quality Inspection

  • Every item undergoes rigorous quality checks before leaving our facility.
  • Furnest is not responsible for damages that occur after the product has been received by the Buyer or delivered by a third-party service.

7.2 Force Majeure

  • Furnest is not liable for any delays or damages caused by events beyond our control, including:
  • Natural disasters
  • Transportation disruptions
  • Supplier or third-party negligence

8.1 Acceptance of Terms

  • By placing an order, the Buyer acknowledges and agrees to the terms and conditions outlined in this Purchase Agreement.

8.2 Legal Compliance

  • This agreement is governed by the laws of Japan, and any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with applicable local laws.
